In March Jessie and I, and a couple of our friends went back to our favorite little peninsula on the south west coast of Costa Rica. The only two ways to get there are a 40 minute boat ride, or a bumpy, muddy 3 hour drive where you are going to wish you had upgraded to the 4wheel drive option in your rental car.
Once you get to Playa Zancudo you can’t make a wrong turn. There is a single dirt road that parallels the beach and along the road are bars and restaurants usually paired with cabinas for rent. For the past two years we have stayed with our friend JC D’Imperio at his establishment, Coloso Del Mar.
The best part of Playa Zancudo is its seclusion. you can be on the +/-4 miles of beach all day and see 10 people. Tops. Can’t wait till next year!
